2010 Chinese New Year Cultural Fair- Year of the Tiger

PORTLAND – Thanks to the supportive community in Portland who has continuously cultivated the diversity and traditions of the Chinese people, the Chinese New Year Cultural Fair (CNY Fair) will enter its Twelfth year. This will be the 5th year that the fair has been held at the Oregon Convention Center. The move proved to be a huge success, with increasing number of attendees year after year. The 2010 Chinese New Year Fair will be celebrated right on the First day of the 2010 Chinese New Year. (Sunday, February 14, 2010) entrance fees $6, children 6 or under free.

The 2010 Chinese New Year Cultural Fair - Year of the Tiger - will showcase both traditional and contemporary Chinese cultural activities including Chinese folk dances, Chinese instrumental music and popular oldies, Kung Fu and martial arts demonstrations, Chinese puppet show etc. To response to the popular demand for Lion Dance we will have Lion Dance performance on the hour of every hour during our show time! We will also proudly represent the Jillian Rabe Production Company for showcasing more than 30 modern Chinese Costumes from original Chinese designer’s collection that was introduced at the “China Design Now Gala” earlier this year at the Portland Art Museum. There will be around 80 booths featuring different products and services. These attractions will thrill both the young and old. Come to watch the exciting show and sample the exotic Chinese delicacies we offer! The Chinese New Year Cultural Fair will bring in the Chinese New Year, new fortunes, and prosperity. In recent years, the festival has been one of Portland’s most celebrated festivals and is entertaining for the whole family!
