Established in 1997, Portland Chinese Times is a Chinese language newspaper circulated in communities surrounding Oregon and SW Washington. Serving the communities on the sides of the Columbia River, Portland Chinese Times is distributed for free or home delivered by subscription every Friday, reaching more than fifty thousand Chinese households in the area. Portland Chinese Times is an affiliate of Southern Chinese Newspaper Group (SCNG), a nationwide Chinese language newspapers network. Each week Portland Chinese Times publishes in total of 8,000 copies and delivers to newsstands in major business areas, restaurants, Asian supermarkets, community centers, library, school and institutes. Portland Chinese Times is now the most popular and the thickest Chinese language newspaper in the Portland area.
